Chapter 19 BOC

“Mindless noise that drowns out meaningful conversation. Spam.” (Success Secrets of the Online Marketing Superstars, p.221)

The definition of spam, though I shouldn't redefine it, is flexible. I see it all over the internet, not just in my e-mail. It's on wikipedia, comments on youtube, on message boards/forums, blogs, social networking, and even instant messengers. It's everywhere, and it makes everyone ever so cautious. It makes privacy abilities even more necessary, not just to prevent stalkers and actual humans, but to filter out the garbage nobody wants to see. It's become too much, too easy, and too often. It's made people desensitized to what really matters sometimes, because what really matters can look like spam!

There will be a solution one day.
